L’Appalto is a contemporary art gallery based in Florence, located just outside the city centre between the Cure district and the hills of San Domenico. The project was born from a desire to support research within the emerging Italian art scene through a decentralised perspective on contemporary practice. The gallery develops through different exhibition formats and a collaborative model based on exchanges with international galleries and project spaces, with the aim of connecting the local territory to broader artistic networks and supporting the work of the artists involved.
